sugarbones is a project still in development. the life-sized human bones are cast in sugar and then filed down to an accurate shape. each is cast with a length of cotton twine through its center. when all the bones are completed, the strings will be tied together, creating a long trail of bones. the far end of the twine will rest in a vat of used motor oil, which will slowly travel up the twine and through each bone, melting them from the inside out. please choose a thumbnail to see a larger image.
